For GT Hacks 9 I decided to go for a solo project. I have always had a passion for environmental science so I decided to create a project to incorporate it. Trees have rings that help determine the age of a tree. So, I created a program that takes in an input picture of a tree core (shown left) and outputs how many rings are in the picture, and the width of those rings.
