For this project, I decided to try a sponsor challenge. The challenge was brought by HPCC and it required using massive datasets to create an algorithm to determine which state would be best to live in for a specific person. My contribution to this project was working on the backend and connecting it to the frontend. I created and implemented the algorithm based on weather, crime, life expectancy, and education. The values were taken in by a user survey and then the results were normalized, then converted to a green scale. This means that the darker the state, the more compatible it was for you.
